The 2021 financial results reflect Anadolu Isuzu ‘s high performance throughout the year

Continuing its investments and production activities uninterruptedly despite the pandemic conditions, Anadolu Isuzu's high performance throughout 2021 was also reflected in the company's annual financial results. Continuing its growth both in domestic and international markets, Anadolu Isuzu increased its domestic sales by 92%, as well as an increase of 162% in exports in 2021. Meanwhile, Anadolu Isuzu's annual net sales increased by 116% compared to the previous year.

Turkey's commercial vehicle brand Anadolu Isuzu, admired by the world with the innovative models it produces, became the "Export Champion" for the 18th time in the medium-size coach segment, according to the Automotive Industry Association (OSD) 2021 data.  In the same period, the company increased its share in Turkey's total medium-size coach and bus exports to 17.2%, reaching the highest level in its export history. Anadolu Isuzu's share in medium-size coach exports only reached 52%. 

Turkey's commercial vehicle brand Anadolu Isuzu further strengthened its strong position in the domestic market, according to the Automotive Industry Association (OSD) 2021 data. According to the OSD data, Anadolu Isuzu maintained its existing championship in the medium duty truck (6-16 tons) segment with a 40 percent market share, in 2021 as well. Anadolu Isuzu's medium duty truck models stand out in the competition with their high performance, environmentally friendly engines, in addition to their durability, power, economic operating costs and high maneuverability, which constitute as critical qualities in commercial use.

Fast advancing toward becoming a global brand with vehicles developed with an eye for local requirements in the target markets, Anadolu Isuzu delivered three Visigo RHD’s to Malta.

Anadolu Isuzu is strengthening its position in Georgia where it has been operating since 2019. Having been awarded the Tbilisi Transport Company’s tender for small buses in partnership with its Georgia distributor, the GT Group LLC, Anadolu Isuzu will deliver 180 Novociti Life vehicles to the Tbilisi Transport Company by the end of the year.

Anadolu Isuzu continues to assert itself in the export markets with its innovative vehicles, developed by Turkish engineers and manufactured in Turkey. Anadolu Isuzu signed an agreement with the city of Chisinau, Moldova, after winning a tender in April to deliver 100 buses for nearly Euro 12.7 million. The company plans to complete the delivery by the end of 2021.

Anadolu Isuzu won the special jury award at the 19th TESID Innovation and Creativity Awards with its voice alert system "VOICE," a first in commercial vehicles.

Anadolu Isuzu’s excellent performance in exports despite the challenges faced during the pandemic was recognized by the Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association (OİB). Anadolu Isuzu won the “Golden Exporter” award.

Anadolu Isuzu opens a new chapter in aftersales with the ProEye online support service to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction. ProEye, introduced as part of aftersales services, enables the service support team to connect to the mobile phones or virtual reality headsets at the local and international service centers to view the vehicle and guide the process to quickly solve the problem.

Anadolu Isuzu continues with its new product launch program. The award-winning Kendo/Interliner and Grand Toro, developed by the Anadolu Isuzu R&D center in European quality standards to meet customer requirements recently visited North Macedonia as part of a demo tour and were received with great interest.

Citiport 12, developed by Anadolu Isuzu’s R&D center to meet local and international customers’ requirements, began serving the city of Tetovo, North Macedonia. Anadolu Isuzu delivered 5 Citiport 12 buses to the Tetovo Municipality.

Isuzu Novociti Life, developed by Anadolu Isuzu with a low floor design as a solution to changing market needs, began operating on the roads of Spain. Following its entry to the Spanish market the previous year with the Turkuaz model, Anadolu Isuzu recently delivered four Novociti Life buses to the city of Ponferrada.

Turkuaz, Anadolu Isuzu’s medium-size tourism vehicle that ensures superior comfort for the driver and the passengers, has started to serve on the roads of Serbia. Anadolu Isuzu recently delivered 10 Turkuaz vehicles to Lasta, a major Serbian tour operator.

Anadolu Isuzu’s Kendo and Grand Toro models were recognized with two prizes at the Italy-based A’ Design Awards. Both created by the Anadolu Isuzu Design Office, Kendo won the Gold A’ Design Award, and Grand Toro the Silver A’ Design Award

Anadolu Isuzu one of the leading commercial vehicle manufacturers in Turkey, continues to make life easier for drivers with its investments in intelligent transportation system. Anadolu Isuzu being the champion in Turkey in midi buses exporting for 16 years, has maintained its leadership position in 2019. According to figures from the 2019 Turkey's Exports Assembly (TIM), Anadolu Isuzu increasing exports continued to grow every year per annum by 38.4% and maintained its leadership in this segment with a total of 853 midibuses exported in 2019.

Anadolu Isuzu continues to bring books to primary school students in and around Izmir’s underprivileged districts since 2015 with a vehicle turned into a mobile library. Anadolu Isuzu has supported the cause of the Inci Foundation to instill the habit of reading in children and to help the schools that have difficulty accessing books through the Mobile Library project.

Equipped with driver protection cabin, disinfectant dispenser and seat warning signs as part of the COVID Prevention Packages developed by Anadolu Isuzu as an industry-first for the protection of public health, 7 Novociti Life buses were delivered to Safranbolu Municipality to offer a more comfortable and safer travel experience for the people of Safranbolu in pandemic conditions.

Anadolu Isuzu, Garenta, KIA and KNS Otomotiv partnered for a project to protect the healthcare staff working tirelessly to fight COVID-19. The project involves producing protective cabins that the healthcare workers need during biological specimen collection and intubation cabinets to limit exposure to the virus, and delivering them to the hospitals.

Anadolu Isuzu continues to assert itself as a leading brand in the export markets with its innovative vehicles developed by Turkish engineers and manufactured in Turkey. As part of the CASUD contract, which the company won last year, Anadolu Isuzu delivered the first 15 Novociti Life and 5 Citibus buses to Réunion Island on June 5. On the occasion of the first delivery of the contract for 45 Novociti Life and 15 Citibus vehicles over the course of three years, a ceremony was held on Réunion Island, an overseas region of France, with the participation of the mayors in the region.

Anadolu Isuzu won an award for its “Driver Alert” project, which aims to protect public health, at the third edition of the International Smart Mobility Systems (AUS) Summit, organized by SummITS.

Anadolu Isuzu signed a five-year sales agreement for 450 vehicles with Taiwan-based Taipei Triangle Motors. First lot of the vehicles as part of the €47.7 million deal will be delivered to Taipei Triangle Motors, which is also Isuzu Japan’s Taiwan distributor, in 2021.
