Isuzu Novociti Life Sets Off On Second European Demo Tour

Following the first European Demo Tour in 2018 that involved visits to major cities for tests by public transportation companies, Isuzu Novociti Life kicked off the second demo tour in Switzerland.

Isuzu Novociti Life, developed by Anadolu Isuzu’s R&D engineers and manufactured at the company’s plant in Turkey, will hit the European roads as part of the international promotion activities of Anadolu Isuzu, which is charging ahead with firm steps toward becoming a global brand.

Isuzu Novociti Life, which has achieved great sales success since its launch, will take part in test drives in Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, Morocco, Spain and France, respectively.

As part of the Demo Tour 2019, which started in Romania on September 2, the new Novociti Life midibuses will be tested by the municipalities and public transportation companies in the countries visited. This will enable municipalities to experience Novociti Life's superior technologies, handling, performance, safety and comfort in test drives.

Isuzu Novociti Life: Comfortable, low-floor minibus

The new Isuzu Novociti Life, with its low-floor design, was born as a solution to the changing market requirements. As a bus concept with smaller dimensions than large and medium-sized buses, Novociti Life also targets cities with narrow streets and supports integration of people with disabilities and the elderly more into social life with its low-floor design.

Novociti Life, which has the look of a regular bus in smaller dimensions, creates a new segment of its own in Anadolu Isuzu’s bus line-up with its 8-meter length, between the 9.5-meter Citibus and the 7.5-meter Novociti models. FPT-branded NEF4 engine, positioned at the rear to fit Novociti Life's low-floor design, generates 186 horsepower and 680 Nm torque. FPT's no-EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) engine technology meets Euro 6C emission norms while enabling high energy efficiency and low fuel consumption. Novociti Life is offered in both the domestic and international markets with ZF manual and Allison automatic transmission options.

Novociti Life, with a total capacity of 60 passengers, comes with spacious interiors and specially designed side windows, which allow effective use of daylight and also enable even passengers in wheelchairs to benefit from them. With Novociti Life’s people-focused intelligent design, all passengers including those in wheelchairs, can enjoy the view outside.

Easy servicing and maintenance with intelligent design

The new Isuzu Novociti Life is the product of thoughtful design that considers both the comfort of passengers and also minimizing the vehicle’s servicing time. Rear-mounted engine compartment allows Novociti Life to have a low-floor design. Having the engine and moving parts at the rear facilitates maintenance and repair of transmission and engine when needed while the engine cover at the back of the vehicle is designed to improve serviceability. Thanks to the hatches that allow Novociti Life’s engine compartment to be accessed from three sides, maintenance work is simplified and faster intervention is possible.

Award-winning Novociti Life, the favorite midibus of European municipalities

Novociti Life, which won three awards soon after its launch in April, became a favorite of European municipalities in particular. Novociti Life was first recognized with the “Good Design Award” by Design Turkey in late 2017 as part of the Turquality program, and then with the “Gold A’Design Award” in the A’Design Award & Competition. Most recently winning 3rd prize in the “New Model Bus”category at Transexpo in Kielce, Poland, Isuzu Novociti Life has taken Anadolu Isuzu, the leader in the midibus segment in public transportation, to a much stronger position.

Anadolu Isuzu will deliver 220 Isuzu Novociti Life vehicles, which achieved great sales success in a short time in Poland, Italy, Greece and France, to the Tbilisi Municipality in Georgia. With the delivery of 220 vehicles to the Tbilisi Municipality in Georgia, that started in August and will continue until the end of 2019, Anadolu Isuzu will realize the largest midibus exports in number of units, marking a first in the history of Turkish automotive industry.
